Etsy is looking for a Senior Manager of Strategy & Operations to lead operational excellence and strategy development in our Trust & Safety organization.This role will define and be responsible for the critical initiatives and operations enabling Trust & Safety teams to operateefficiently to achieve our near and long-term business goals.A successful candidate is defined by their track-record and heart for applying industry-proven and emergent approaches that empower teams to collaborate to keep commerce human and keep commerce safe.This is a full-time position reporting to the Senior Director of Trust & Safety Strategy & Enablement. We are considering remote candidates based in the U.S. for this position. Etsy offers three different work modes to meet the variety of needs and preferences of our team: Flex mode for candidates who are comfortable traveling to an office location 2+ times per week, Remote mode, and Office-based mode. Learn more about our flexible work modes and vaccination policy here.About the RoleIn this role you will:* Design and operate the systems, processes, and artifacts that enable strategy development, decision-making, and execution on predictable cadences* Proactively and iteratively evolve ongoing operations so that they are highly effective and enable clarity and consistency across teams* Manage Trust & Safety internal communications including meaningful org-wide emails, metrics reports, presentations and All Hands, and maintain the platforms and channels where this information is shared* Support the quarterly operating plan and ongoing budgeting process for Trust & Safety* Collaborate with T& S leadership to prioritize headcount and recruiting efforts* Build credibility and establish rapport with people at multiple levels including senior leadership* Own and facilitate the T& S leadership meetings toensure decisions are made and objectives are achieved* Of course, this is just a sample of the kinds of work this role will require! You should assume that your role will encompass other tasks, too, and that your job duties and responsibilities may change from time to time at Etsy's discretion, or otherwise applicable with local law.QualificationsAbout YouIdeally you'll bring:* 5+ years' experience with 1+ years in an operational role within a scaled organization, dedicated to creative, thoughtful problem solving and owning operations projects* The ability to work independently to define and contain complex problems, prioritize effectively, and quickly deliver value-add recommendations* Experience inspiring change, crafting solutions, and driving processes that enable smooth execution, continuous improvement, and minimal waste* Ability to maintain order, focus and calm in times of ambiguity and changing priorities* Curious, scrappy, roll-up-your-sleeves mentality; always willing to get the work done* Excellent verbal and written communication skills with proven ability to distill complex information and interact with global, cross-functional partners* Experience working in strategy, with a marketplace business model, and/or in Trust & Safety is a plus* A trust in and commitment to Etsy's vision, mission and valuesAdditional InformationWhat's NextIf you're interested in joining the team at Etsy, please send a cover letter and resume telling us why you'd be right for the position.
